When the Spaniards first arrived in the Camotes Island, they met some natives digging potatoes, and asked them the name of the island. The natives, thinking that they were being asked what they were digging, replied, "Camotes." Thereafter, the island retained that name, camotes, or potato island. 





Ponson Island is separated by the Camotes Sea, and lies about four kilometers northeast from Poro Island. The beautiful Island is filled with exciting culture. It is known as, "The Lost Horizon in the South", because of its unspoiled atmosphere. 





There are many spectacular sites, like the valley of coconut crops, corn, and potatoes. Our beautiful picturesque lake known for its freshness and natural purity, won an award for being the cleanest inland body of water.

Upon hearing the word “Camotes,” for sure, one thing pops out of our minds- the root crop kamote or sweet potato! Yes! Camotes Island boasts of various camote delicacies every tourist will surely enjoy but it has attractions and destinations you will be rooting for as well!

Fresh Sutokil is a combination of dishes with grilled tuna, fish soup, and fresh fish or seafood with vinegar.
 Sutokil came from the combination of three words: “su” for sugba which means grilled in Bisaya, “tu” for tuwa or soup, and “kil” for kilawin –

Scape Skydeck at Azon's Residence

Scape Skydeck Lapu-Lapu’s Top Destination

To give a short description of its location, Azon’s Scape Skydeck is located at the rooftop of the condo’s 12-storey high residential condominium. It occupies the whole space on top think fully designed to have a good view of the surrounding area of Lapu-Lapu and the neighboring city of Mandaue and Cebu.

The table setup made us feel like dignitaries On top of the table, sumptuous courses were served. (Sorry to miss all those weird sounding food as the theme for that night was Middle Eastern’s). The chef made a lot of introduction before serving the food but I didn’t pay much attention as I was thinking already how to consume it and satisfy my intestinal cravings. Lol! Hot-Sauced Pizza is killing our taste buds. 

Aside from the food, the ambiance is really very cool. There’s an air-conditioned function room where you can have your videoke and sing your heart out. (We brought our own player though).

The place is basically a place where you can drown your sorrows with. A bar is nicely designed where you can choose the right drink for you. Ambiance-wise this is the place to be as it offers a 360 view of Cebu and Mactan Islands connected by the lovely Marcelo Fernan Bridge. 

The Mactan channel is a sight to behold! Looks like viewing the Hudson River from NY’s skyscrapers. The Scape Skydeck is on the 12th floor so the view is cool from the top! View from the deck’s Al fresco.

Do you want to experience an eat all you can buffet come and visit “Joven Grill and Seafood"! It is a typical buffet that surely reach the satisfaction of your appetite. 

Joven's Grill & Seafood that already has several branches around Cebu. The Joven Grill and Seafood has a lot of dishes, they served but mostly seafood dishes. But also, they serve Japanese threats  included sushi of various kinds – salmon, tuna, vegetable and Chinese dishes like siomai, dumplings, empress rolls and a couple more; Filipino dishes include fat crabs, buttered chicken, humba, adobo, bihon, rice and some vegetables. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and very comfortable the staff is good they are always smiling and very friendly.

The rates of Joven's Grill and Seafood is only 220 per person, it is really affordable. They are open daily in lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, snack is from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, and dinner is from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
